I grew up in North Dakota and have a strong Midwestern work ethic!

I gave birth to my one and only amazing son in 2003 while a sophomore in college! He grew up playing many different sports including soccer, baseball, basketball, football and hockey. We often spent our winters snowboarding in the Rockies but hockey became his passion and we dedicated our lives to that sport! 

He played junior hockey in Wisconsin with the plan for college hockey but had a career ending shoulder injury. He's now seeking an apprenticeship to become an electrician and enjoys playing pickleball, golfing, coaching hockey and makes me a very proud mama!

I graduated in 2006 with my Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND - GO SIOUX!

In 2007, I became a Dale Carnegie graduate! 

I moved to Colorado in 2008, initially living in Fort Collins, then to the big city of Denver in 2010 - GO AVS!

I graduated in 2010 with my MBA, focus in Project Management from Capella University (online), Minneapolis, MN

In 2012, I completed a 5 day Advanced GD&T course by the QC Group while working for ConMed Electrosurgery. This course provided exceptional insight into better design practices for different materials. 

In 2013, I completed a live, 2-day course on the University of Lowell Campus called Engineering Plastics for Competitive Positioning. I also completed a live,  2-day Effective Technical Writing course by AMA. 

In 2019, I took a live, 5-day Kepner-Tregoe training that provided me with great tools for non-subjective problem solving and decision making!

In 2024, I become Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified and SAFe 6 Agilist! I'm a big proponent for organizations to make the change into SAFe practices, or some form of 'agile across the board / value-based delivery' practices for all areas of the organization. It CAN be done!

In Q1 2025 I'll be starting Toastmasters to continue improving my presentation and communication skills.
